Sedgwick has appointed Aruna Chandrapalan as CEO of its Singapore operations, the global loss adjuster announced in a media release on 27 November.

Chandrapalan, who first joined Sedgwick in 2017, will expand her remit as head of Singapore while continuing in her role as Partner, Forensic Accounting Services (FAS).

Nigel Cook, who has led the Singapore team for the past two years, will now focus on expanding Sedgwick’s Major and Complex Loss (MCL) practice across Asia.

The change supports the company’s strategic plans to grow its presence and capabilities within the “vital” MCL segment, Sedgwick said.

Chandrapalan said she was “honoured to take on the role of CEO for Singapore” and that she looked forward to “building on Sedgwick’s strong foundation and driving growth with our talented team.”

Cook said, “It has been a privilege to lead the Singapore team,” adding that he will continue to expand Sedgwick’s Major and Complex Loss practice across Asia, describing it as “a vital area where we can deliver even greater value to our clients.”

The new appointments come amid other management changes by Sedgwick in the APAC region this month, with Sedgwick naming Phil van Zyl as interim CEO and Simon Kay as COO in Australia.
