Chaucer Group has named Les Loh as chief executive officer for Singapore, effective 2 March 2026, pending regulatory approval, the specialty (re)insurer announced on Tuesday. He will succeed Margaret To, who is moving into a consultancy role.
Loh joins the Lloyd’s underwriting from Guy Carpenter, where he was CEO of Southeast Asia and Korea. He brings over 27 years of experience in broking and underwriting, with past roles that include president, APAC at AXIS Capital, and senior broker at Benfield. In his new role, Loh will report to Angus Milgate, global head of distribution.
The business has also announced the appointment of Dan Bryan as its new head of reinsurance for Asia-Pacific. He will start in the second quarter of 2026 and report to Loh in his new role.
Bryan joins from AXA XL Re, where he served as head of reinsurance for Asia. He brings over 20 years of experience, including roles as head of property reinsurance at Aspen Insurance Group and as senior vice president at Guy Carpenter.
