Howden Re has named Ping Li (Eva) as general manager, facultative reinsurance, China, the company announced on LinkedIn on Thursday.

Li has been with Howden China for five years and brings more than 15 years of (re)insurance experience to the new role, in which she will oversee the company’s strategy, business operations, and growth plans for facultative reinsurance in Mainland China.

“China is a critically important and dynamic market for Howden Re and we are thrilled to appoint Eva within our leadership pipeline to this critical role,” Cynthia Cui, head of fac, APAC, at Howden Re, said.

David Wall, chief operating officer for international growth markets and HIBL international hubs, said Li’s strong grasp of the local business environment, combined with her extensive expertise and strategic direction, would be “instrumental to guide the China business into its next phase of growth.”
