Chubb has promoted Richard Bracken to head of strategic partnership development, APAC, Japan, and international digital, effective 1 March, the business announced on LinkedIn on Tuesday.

Bracken has been with the insurer since 2022 and was its regional head of consumer partnerships, APAC prior to his promotion. He has more than 20 years of experience, including time at Coherent, AIA, ING, and ANZ.

The promotion expands Bracken’s role from sourcing strategic partnerships for Chubb in Asia-Pacific to actively driving growth across the company’s Japanese business and key global digital accounts.

In his new role, he is responsible for driving new digital insurance propositions, finding new synergies, optimising key partnerships, and establishing new ones for the company.

Bracken’s promotion follows key appointments for the insurer in APAC in the last month: Lucas Teng, Jerry Ng, and Eric Kwan as division heads for consumer, for distribution, and property and casualty, respectively, in its Singapore business; Naresh Krishnan as president director of PT Chubb Life Insurance Indonesia (Chubb Life Indonesia), Jin Lee as executive vice president and general counsel, global life and general insurance, APAC, and Mark Eggleton as senior VP and general counsel, legal strategy and government affairs, APAC.
