Hong Kong’s Insurance Authority (IA) launched a new edition of its Inter-School Quiz and Challenge on Lifetime Risk and Protection in the first quarter of 2026, targeting secondary students from Form 4 to Form 6.

More than 2,200 students from 58 schools joined the campaign, which aimed to deepen understanding of lifetime risk management and the role of protection planning.

Delivered with the Financial Education Centre of the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society, the programme combined an online quiz with tailored learning materials and teacher-led classroom discussions on insurance concepts and financial planning.

Survey results showed that 72% of participants agreed or strongly agreed that their knowledge improved, while 74% said they were more willing to strengthen their financial behaviour.

“The results reflect encouraging progress in students’ awareness of lifetime risk management and responsible financial decision-making,” the IA said.

The regulator also hosted an on-campus event and prize presentation for top-performing schools, featuring interactive game booths, themed challenges, and sessions with online influencers Freeeboyzzzz and a representative from the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers who shared her career experience in the insurance industry.
