Marsh Risk Asia has strengthened its Marine, Cargo & Logistics capabilities in Singapore with the appointment of three vice presidents, as announced by Michael Walls, managing director at Marsh Risk, on LinkedIn on Monday.

Deborah Errappa has been appointed senior vice president and cargo leader, James Gargrave as protection and indemnity (P&I) leader, and Haroun Shadid as senior vice president and strategic client director for Singapore.

“Their appointment demonstrates our commitment to bringing the best talent to the region and ensuring our clients continue to receive the very best advice and support,” Walls said.

Errappa rejoins the business from WTW, where she most recently served as marine specialist leader. She has also held senior roles at AIG, and was previously with Marsh South Africa as senior client executive for marine.

Gargrave takes on the role of Asia P&I leader, bringing more than a decade of marine underwriting experience. He joins from Latitude Brokers, where he served as P&I director, and has previously held underwriting roles at The Shipowners’ Club, RaetsMarine and Charles Taylor.

Shadid was already with the global brokerage, having worked previously with the business in the United Kingdom.

The triple appointment is the latest in a series of key moves by Marsh in Asia Pacific so far in 2026. Last week, the business announced it would take full ownership of its Thailand JV, rebranding the business as Marsh Risk Thailand.

The broker has also made a series of important appointments this year, including the promotion of KT Koo to CEO of Marsh Korea, Jason Mandera as CEO of Marsh McLennan Indonesia, and Noelene Palmer as Pacific chief operating officer.
