Aon has appointed Nayana Mitter as head of strategy and programme management for its Global Capability Centres (GCCs), as the global broker continues to expand its offshore operations.
Based in Gurgaon, India, Mitter brings more than three decades of experience across strategy, consulting, transformation, programme management, operations, governance, risk and compliance.
Mitter joins from Guardian Life, where she served as head of strategy, India. Her prior experience includes senior leadership roles at EY, Pramerica Life Insurance, and GE Capital.
“Her expertise and leadership will play an important role as we continue to strengthen our global GCCs organisation and enhance the value we deliver to colleagues, clients and business partners around the world,” Aon said in a LinkedIn update on Wednesday.
The appointment comes as Aon grows its global capability centre footprint, with India serving as a key hub for the broker’s global operations. In June, Aon established a new facility in Bengaluru, further strengthening its presence in the country.
The broker operates capability centres in Bengaluru, Noida and Gurgaon, which support its global operations.
Mitter’s appointment comes months after Aon named Shiney Prasad as head of its Global Capability Centres in March, who also joined the broker after leading Guardian Life’s India operations.
