Toni Ferrier will step down as chief executive of Marsh New Zealand and president of Marsh Risk New Zealand at the end of August, the broker announced on Thursday.
Ferrier joined Marsh in early 2024 from AIG New Zealand, where she had served as chief executive for four years. She also previously held senior roles at Vero, Lumley/Wesfarmers and Crombie Lockwood.
Currently, Ferrier serves as a director of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). She previously served as president of the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ), from 2020 to 2024, leaving the role after joining Marsh.
“Toni has been a highly respected leader at Marsh New Zealand. We’re grateful for her contributions and we wish her all the best for the future,” Marsh Pacific said.
As of writing, Marsh has not provided details on her successor or successors.
Ferrier’s departure comes as Marsh continues to invest in talent across Asia Pacific. Earlier this year, Marsh promoted Gabe Money to risk consulting leader in New Zealand, after four years with the firm. The global broker has also expanded its broader Asia bench with three recent appointments to the Asia renewable energy team and additional senior hires across its marine, cargo & logistics team.
