AUB Group has appointed Denis Morrissey as chief executive officer of Agencies, succeeding Angie Zissis following her retirement, the company disclosed in its FY26 annual report released on Tuesday.

He succeeds Angie Zissis, who retired after leading AUB’s Agencies division for several years.

Morrissey moves into the role from 360 Underwriting Solutions, which he has owned and served as director for since 2017. Before 360 Underwriting, he spent nearly 14 years at Allianz Australia, most recently as general manager, commercial, within its broker and agency division.

He brings more than 40 years of insurance industry experience across commercial insurance, intermediary distribution, claims and compulsory third-party insurance. Earlier in his career, Morrissey also worked at CGU Insurance, the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce, FAI Insurance and NRMA.

AUB said Morrissey brings “extensive underwriting and leadership experience from 360 Underwriting” to the position.

The appointment comes as AUB stated its plan to prioritise scaling and optimising its Agencies platform. The division operates 39 agencies across the 360 Underwriting, SURA Specialty and Strata portfolios, designing, distributing and managing insurance products on behalf of locally licensed insurers and Lloyd’s syndicates.

The leadership change follows strong FY26 results for the division, with Agencies’ underlying profit before tax rising 8.4% to A$78m (US$56m).
