Aviso Specialty is setting up a Capital Solutions Group and has appointed Eric Wojcik as head of capital and guarantee solutions, the Australian broker announced on Thursday.
The group will bring together specialist expertise from across the business to support clients where risk, capital and commercial considerations intersect.
Wojcik will join in March 2027 from Marsh, where he is managing director, head of surety, Pacific and global leader, bank fronted surety.
Based in Sydney, he has more than 30 years of experience across banking, project and structured finance, financial risk and surety, including previous stints at Lloyds International, banking group Société Générale and QBE Insurance.
“Eric brings a combination of banking, finance and surety experience that is difficult to replicate,” said chief executive Josh Roach, who joined from Marsh in March. “His appointment strengthens our specialist capabilities and further enhances the expertise we can provide to clients.”
The hire is the latest in a recruitment push at Aviso Specialty, which in February unveiled 21 appointments, including a string of senior hires from Lockton, as it built out its national capability. Since then it has launched a Risk Intelligence division headed by Nicholas Martin in June, named Kerin Rathgeber to lead its trade credit practice in July and appointed Thomas Delaney as head of corporate in September.
