CTF Life has appointed Edison Sam as chief digital and technology officer, effective 2 October, the insurer announced on LinkedIn.

Prior to joining CTF Life, Sam served at AIA Hong Kong and Macau, most recently as head of technology, digital and analytics transformation and head of customer and agency platform. He has also led digital transformation at YF Life and held leadership positions at Ping An and Chubb.

He brings more than 20 years of experience across the insurance and financial services sectors, with expertise spanning technology, digital innovation, data and generative AI.

CTF Life said Sam has extensive experience in applying emerging technologies to business operations, with a track record of developing scalable capabilities, strengthening governance frameworks and delivering transformation initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and customer experiences.

“In this role, Edison will lead our integrated technology, digital, data, AI and transformation agenda as we accelerate enterprise-wide transformation and strengthen the capabilities needed to power our next phase of sustainable growth and innovation,” the Hong Kong-listed insurer said.

His remit will also include supporting group-wide mandates across international markets, including mainland China and other key growth markets.

Earlier this year, CTF Life strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Carol Mo as chief investment and asset-liability management officer and the promotion of Betty Lee to chief product officer.
