WTW has appointed Greg Solomon as market leader for its insurance consulting and technology (ICT) business in Hong Kong, the company announced on Monday.
Solomon returns to the business, where he previously worked from 2014 to 2019. In his new role, he will lead strategic growth of the ICT business, working with WTW’s Hong Kong team and regional specialists to support insurers’ risk and capital management priorities, the broker said in its announcement.
“We are seeing strong market interest in both our consulting and technology solutions,” said Ali Bunn, head of insurance consulting and technology, Asia Pacific, at WTW. “Greg’s focus on client relationships and business development will help us build on this momentum.”
Solomon has more than 30 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance and actuarial work. From 2020, he ran Eigengrey Consulting, advising insurers and reinsurers on strategy, market expansion, financial optimisation, pricing and modelling, and risk and capital management.
Before that, he led Peak Re’s global life and health business, and he previously served as managing director and head of life and health, international, at Willis Re. Earlier in his career, he held actuarial and leadership roles at Swiss Re.
The hire follows a series of key changes to WTW’s Hong Kong leadership this year. In August the broker named Jayne Bok head of Hong Kong and Macau, a week after it hired Bruce Tsoi from Marsh to lead property and casualty there.
