IAG’s Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) division has promoted Dustin Bartley and Chloe Porges to new leadership roles across its CGU and WFI Insurance brands, effective 30 October, the insurer announced on Wednesday.
Bartley, currently executive manager of workers compensation at IIA, will take up the newly created role of executive general manager, customer and growth, overseeing the function across CGU and WFI.
Bartley joined IAG in 2018, following five years at CGU Insurance, and has held executive management positions across several IAG divisions. He has led IIA’s workers compensation business since 2022 and previously held management roles at QBE Insurance.
Porges will succeed Bartley as IIA’s executive manager of workers compensation. She has led the workers compensation claims function for CGU and WFI for the past five years, following a decade at QBE, where she held several management positions.
The appointments follow the departure of Damien Gallagher, executive general manager of customer experience and growth, who is leaving IIA after 15 years. IAG said Gallagher had made a significant contribution to CGU and WFI, their broker partners and customers during his tenure.
The leadership changes come as IIA continues to simplify its operations across the two intermediated brands. The business restructured its operations about 18 months ago to streamline processes between CGU and WFI.
IIA is also midway through migrating to its Commercial Enterprise Platform, a modernised system designed to replace legacy technology infrastructure.
Jarrod Hill, CEO of CGU and WFI, said the operational refinements would reduce complexity and better align functional capabilities at an important stage for the business.
“This is a necessary step change that reflects our commitment to meet market demands, and importantly, will lift our execution, service and responsiveness to brokers, partners and customers,” Hill said.
