Swiss Re CorSo appoints Kevin Bates as Country Head of Australia & New Zealand 

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has announced the appointment of Kevin Bates as Country Head of Australia & New Zealand, effective 4 November 2024.

Based in Sydney, he takes over from Christine Bell, who has decided to retire.

In his new role, Bates will lead the regional Corporate Solutions team to further its group strategy, deepen client relationships, and deliver solutions and services to clients, Swiss Re said in a company statement.

Jonathan Rake, Regional CEO APAC, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, said that Australia & New Zealand has been a strategic sub-region for the business and has seen consistent growth over the last three years.

“With more than two decades of experience in insurance, risk management, corporate finance and leading diverse teams, Kevin brings with him a strategic mindset and mature leadership style which makes him an exceptional candidate for the role,” Rake said.

I am confident that Kevin will strengthen our ANZ business and bring a fresh perspective to the broader APAC leadership team with his deep knowledge and expertise,” he added.

Established in 2007, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions offers a range of commercial insurance solutions, including property, liability, financial lines, and construction insurance policies and products to the Australian and New Zealand Markets.
