Tim Air has joined Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) as Executive Underwriter, Marine, Australasia, as announced by Mark Lingafelter, BHSI’s President for Australasia, on LinkedIn.

Melbourne-based Air brings 25 years of experience to his new role and joins BHSI after two and a half years with AIG, where he served as Senior Cargo Underwriter.

“We are pleased to announce that Tim Air has joined the BHSI Marine Team as Executive Underwriter”, said Lingafelter in his announcement.

“Tim brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the Marine industry to our team. His leadership and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and expand our Marine business. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to the significant contributions he will make,” Lingafelter added.

Air previously served at QBE Insurance for over ten years, from 2011 to 2021, including over five years as National Manager for Marine. His career also includes roles at WFI Insurance and Associated Marine Insurers Agents.
