Howden on Tuesday announced that Rohan Bhappu will succeed Chye Huat Goh as CEO of Howden Asia as of 1 October 2025.

Hong Kong-based Bhappu will initially join the business, from Marsh McLennan, as Deputy CEO for Asia in June and will report to Goh until October.

Goh—who joined Howden in October 2015—will then take over as Chairman of Asia and Chairman of Private Wealth, succeeding Mark Wood. Wood will continue to lead Howden’s Global Specialty Practices.

Bhappu has spent 22 years at Marsh McLennan working in various regions, including the USA, India, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Most recently, he served as CEO of Marsh McLennan Hong Kong and Macau. Prior, he was CEO of Marsh Hong Kong and Macau, where he managed the integration of JLT following its acquisition by the US broker in 2019.

After close to a decade in post, I am delighted to be able to pass the baton to Rohan, and that he will lead Howden Asia into its next chapter.”
