Labuan Re appoints Zaid Aziz Ibrahim as Officer in Charge

Labuan Re has appointed Encik Zaid Aziz Ibrahim as Officer in Charge following the departure of Puan Johana Era Zainudin, the reinsurer announced in a statement on LinkedIn.

Ibrahim has been with the business since 2020 and was serving as the Chief Underwriting Officer and Senior Vice President prior to his promotion.

In his new role, Ibrahim will collaborate with drive initiatives in conventional reinsurance, ReTakaful, managing general agents (MGA), and Lloyd’s capital investments, Labuan Re said in its announcment.

Ibrahim brings nearly three decades of insurance and underwriting experience to the role. Prior to Labuan Re, he served as Head of Underwriting at QBE Insurance Malaysia. He also worked for Allianz Re Singapore, Asia Capital Reinsurance Group, Tenaga Risk Management & Services, and Marsh.
