Specialty managing general agent (MGA) DUAL has promoted Stewart Eaton as Head of Liability for both Australia and New Zealand, the business announced Tuesday (13 May).
Eaton has been the Head of Liability at DUAL New Zealand since April 2024 and is broadening his role across two countries.
Bringing over two decades of experience in the UK and London, Eaton will focus on ensuring alignment, scalability, and competitiveness of general liability products.
Eaton previously held roles in crisis management, product recall, and underwriting at ARK Syndicate Management, Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty, Castel, Sagicor at Lloyd’s, and AIG.
Speaking on the appointment, CEO of DUAL ANZ Damien Coates said: “Stewart brings a mix of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and a genuine ability to connect with people, these are qualities that make him perfectly placed to lead our Liability portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.”
“His appointment reflects our commitment to deliver a strong, unified proposition to brokers across the region, backed by experienced leadership and a clear strategy for growth,” Coates added.
Looking ahead to his new role, Eaton commented: “The support I’ve received from my colleagues in New Zealand and our broker partners over the past 18 months has given me the perfect springboard. We have great people in this business, and I’m looking forward to working closely with our wider ANZ team and broker network to deliver on our strategy.”
Earlier this year, the MGA announced Marc Karapanovic as Cyber Lead and Damian Browne as Deputy General Manager for New Zealand.
