Eliza Grant joins Howden Australia as new Head for M&A

Howden Insurance Brokers Australia has appointed Eliza Grant as its new Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Insurance, the company announced on LinkedIn on Monday, 30 June.

Grant brings a decade of M&A experience in insurance broking and joins after 4 years at Marsh McLennan, most recently as Head of Transactional Risk for Private Equity and M&A Services in the Pacific. She has previously held associate roles at legal firms including Eversheds Sutherland in Dubai, and Clayton Utz and Allens in Sydney.

Grant expressed her excitement in joining the team at Howden, saying: “It is especially exciting to be part of a company that combines its global strength with a strong local focus to deliver smart, strategic solutions for its clients.”

Over the last 3 months, Howden has made key hires across the ANZ region: Tony Cengic as its Melbourne-based Head of Surety, Leo King as Managing Director, Head of Direct Wholesale & Corporate Facultative Property – Asia Pacific; and John Philipsz as Managing Director for Howden Re Australia and New Zealand.
