AIG has appointed Glen Browne as its Global Head of Accident and Health for international and North American portfolios, according to a LinkedIn update on Friday, July 25.
Browne returns to AIG, where he last served as Chief Marketing Officer from 2007 to 2011, operating out of Japan. He brings over 30 years of global experience, including his most recent role as Global Head of Accident and Health at Everest.
Throughout his career, Browne has held senior roles across the Asia Pacific region, such as New Zealand, Taiwan, Australia, and Thailand. Before joining Everest, he also spent a decade as Chubb’s Deputy Regional President for the Asia Pacific and Division President for Consumer Lines, based in Singapore.
“His proven track record will be instrumental in moving our global growth strategy forward and continuing our prominent position in the A&H market,” AIG stated in its post.
Browne’s appointment follows the business’s announcement earlier this month that former Lloyd’s and QBE Chief John Neal will join the company as President of General Insurance, reversing his previous decision to move to Aon.
