AIG has promoted Anouk Sireude to head of marine, Pacific, the insurer’s APAC marine head Dimitry Zilberud announced on LinkedIn on Thursday.

Sydney-based Sireude joined the business in August 2024 and steps up from head of ocean marine, Pacific, with the new title widening her remit to cover inland marine alongside ocean marine across Australia and New Zealand.

She brings extensive industry experience across marine underwriting and claims. Before joining AIG, Sireude spent more than eight years with Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, most recently as a senior marine underwriter.

Earlier in her career, she held claims-related positions for insurance services provider Thomas Miller and shipping group A.P. Moller-Maersk.

“Anouk’s leadership, commercial insight and deep understanding of the marine market have been instrumental in the growth of our portfolio across the Pacific,” Zilberud said of the appointment.

Her promotion follows other recent personnel changes in AIG’s Asia Pacific operations, including Tilden Goh as head of energy for Asia Pacific, Koki Umeda as vice chairman for AIG Japan, and Jeeranun Pitaksak as head of Southeast Asia partnerships.
