Pacific Prime, a Hong Kong-headquartered broker, has promoted Gautam Mahey to global head of property, casualty and financial lines, recognising his role in expanding the firm’s commercial insurance capabilities across international markets.
Mahey joined Pacific Prime in 2019 and has since led the development of the firm’s property, casualty and financial lines business, which the company described as a key pillar of its commercial insurance operations.
In his new role, Mahey will oversee Pacific Prime’s global strategy as the broker looks to strengthen its position in the commercial insurance market.
“His leadership has contributed to significant growth, expansion into new markets and industry recognition from leading global insurers and associations—fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration,” Pacific Prime said in a LinkedIn post.
The broker said Mahey has also driven innovation across the commercial insurance business and contributed to industry recognition from global insurers and professional associations.
In February 2024, the broker expanded into Australia, shortly after strengthening its Southeast Asian presence through the acquisition of Malaysian broker MIT Insurance Brokers.
