Speciality insurer Fusion Specialty has promoted Katherine Simmonds to the role of Chief Executive, International.
Simmonds joined Fusion Specialty in 2021 as Managing Partner and has been recognised as having spearheaded the growth of Fusion’s business in the M&A insurance markets across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
In her new role as Chief Executive, Simmonds will be responsible for further developing Fusion’s presence in APAC, UK, and EMEA regions – including M&A, Financial Lines and other specialist insurance products.
Simmonds has extensive experience in the industry, having previously worked as the Head of Corporate & Commercial at Gallagher and as GM, Corporate Risk and Broking at WTW. She is an innovator in the field, having pioneered the underwriting of M&A products in APAC and has built strong ties with the London and international markets.
Fusion also announced they would be appointing Michael Federer to the role of chief executive, Fusion Specialty, North America.
