Rokstone Underwriting has opened a new office in Singapore, with full capacity support from Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), the two firms announced in separate posts on LinkedIn on Thursday.

The MGA officially begins its new Singapore hub operations with US$25m Lloyd’s capacity provided by TMK and with an initial focus on marine lines—including hull, construction (builders’ risks), liabilities, and cargo.

Commenting on the development, Rokstone said, “We are proud to announce the opening of our new office in Singapore – a key step in our global expansion and a region we are excited to grow in.”

Rokstone in June announced it had appointed QBE’s Rama Chandran as Director and Head of Marine to oversee the build-out of its marine operations in Asia and lead the MGA’s regional growth strategy from Singapore.
