Hannover Re has appointed Kantaporn Thejatunga as General Manager of Life and Health at its Malaysian branch in Kuala Lumpur, the company announced on LinkedIn on 8 October.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Thejatunga has been with the reinsurer since 2018, most recently serving as a Business Development Actuary for the Thai market. Before joining Hannover Re, she had worked as a pricing actuary for Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited in Bangkok.
Thejatunga succeeds Soeren Kruse, who has been promoted to Head of Life and Health for Southern and Eastern Asia earlier this year.
“She will lead our efforts to further strengthen Hannover Re’s presence in key markets such as Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and beyond. The Life & Health team is committed to building long-term client partnerships, responding to evolving needs, and supporting sustainable growth in the region,” the company said in its announcement.
