The Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA) has approved Francis S. Savari, CEO of UIB Asia Reinsurance Brokers Pte Ltd, as Principal Officer of UIB Labuan Ltd, effective 9 October 2025, according to a company announcement on LinkedIn on 23 October.
Savari has been with UIB since 2023. In this expanded role, Savari will oversee UIB Labuan’s operations alongside his existing leadership responsibilities with UIB Asia.
Based in Singapore, Savari is equipped with over 31 years of experience in the (re)insurance industry. Before joining UIB, he held numerous leadership roles at firms such as Munich Re, PartnerRe, and Singapore Reinsurance Corp.
“This appointment reinforces UIB’s commitment to strong governance and leadership across the region,” the company said in its announcement.
Savari’s appointment follows another leadership announcement by UIB Asia, naming Le Tram Nguyen as Executive Director for Treaty and Retro back in September.
