Aon has named Darren Oliver as its new head of market development, health solutions, for the Asia Pacific region, a role he will assume in Singapore from April 2026, the company confirmed on LinkedIn.

Oliver has extensive experience in insurance and risk advisory across the region and has held senior roles within Aon’s network. He previously served as head of Aon Philippines.

In March 2024, Aon expanded his remit to lead a sub-region covering the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, reporting to Aon’s Asia Pacific CEO and joining the Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

Oliver’s earlier career included roles outside Aon, including senior positions at Willis Towers Watson, as well as founding a people insurance and employee benefits consultancy.

The new appointment aligns with wider leadership changes at Aon, including the transition of its Philippines CEO role. Karl Hamann will take over as CEO of Aon Philippines effective 1 April 2026, succeeding Oliver and reporting to Andrew Minnitt, head of Southeast Asia.
