Aon has welcomed Markus Poh as its new transaction solutions team director for Asia, Murray Wood, the company’s specialty products leader for Asia-Pacific, announced on LinkedIn on Friday.
Poh joins from law firm Rajah & Tann Asia, where he was a corporate lawyer. He brings nearly a decade of experience in advising private equity sponsors, institutional investors, and multinational corporates on complex cross‑border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital transactions across Asia‑Pacific.
Based in Singapore for his new role, Poh will help clients use W&I, tax and contingent risk insurance strategically to enhance bids, streamline execution, and manage risk with confidence.
“We’re delighted to have Markus on board and look forward to the value he will bring to our clients and partners across Asia,” Wood said in his post.
Poh’s appointment follows George Attard’s designation as global head of analytics for Aon’s reinsurance solutions business, announced on Thursday. Earlier this year, Martijn de Lange was named managing director for transaction solutions across Asia-Pacific, marking his return to the firm’s regional senior leadership team.
