Arch Insurance Australia on Thursday announced it had promoted Aisling Hegarty to head of professional indemnity, effective immediately.
Melbourne-based Hegarty joined Arch in 2019 as a senior underwriter. She most recently served as southern regional underwriting manager, where she developed Arch’s professional indemnity portfolio in Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia.
“I’m very pleased to announce Aisling’s well-deserved promotion,” said Dominic Brannigan, regional manager and Hegarty’s line manager. “Her proven track record of developing underwriting strategy and deep expertise across SME, mid-market, and complex PI risks makes her well-positioned to lead the continued growth of the portfolio and relevance with brokers across Australia.”
Before joining Arch, Hegarty held financial lines underwriting roles at Chubb, Vero Insurance, and Zurich.
Her new role comes after Arch last month named Andrew Whitlock as northern region casualty underwriting manager.
