Aspen Insurance has announced the promotion of Edward Hart to the role of International Head of Cyber. Continuing to be based in London, he is tasked with expanding the firm’s reach and capabilities within the growing global cyber market.
Since joining Aspen in February, Hart’s contributions have quickly been recognised by the company. In a statement, Aspen noted that in the short time he has been there, he has “expanded distribution relationships, attracted class leading talent, and brought meaningful insights to our group underwriting strategy.”
Prior to joining Aspen, Hart had a decade of experience in cyber underwriting under his belt, with previous stints at Brit Insurance and Barbican Insurance Group.
Bobby Bianconi, global head of cyber, praised the appointment, commenting, “Ed’s promotion underscores Aspen’s deep bench strength as an industry leader of cyber insurance products and services, and further demonstrates Aspen’s commitment to growing this important business line and the integral part it plays in the FINPRO portfolio.”
