Chubb has announced that Ben Carey will return to its P&C business as Head of Field Operations, Asia Pacific in Q1 2024.
Based in Singapore, Carey will report to Paul McNamee, Regional President of Asia Pacific, and will be a part of Chubb’s Asia Pacific Executive Committee.
Carey’s role is newly created and he will be responsible for delivering capabilities and services to agency and broker partners across the region, which covers 12 markets and 69 branch offices.
He brings over 20 years of experience in senior management and underwriting position, having worked at Chubb for 19 years prior to his move to Everest in Nov 2021.
He moved to Everest initially as Regional Head of Insurance for Asia before being promoted to Chief Executive of Singapore in July 2022.
During his previous tenure at Chubb, Carey held various roles across Asia Pacific, London, and New York. These positions included Head of Distribution & Client Management, Asia, and Senior Vice President of Accident and Health (A&H), Overseas General Insurance.
In a statement announcing Carey’s appointment, McNamee emphasised his confidence in Carey’s leadership skills and insurance industry acumen, “Ben is a respected leader and skilled insurance practitioner, and we are thrilled that he will be returning to Chubb. As Head of Field Operations for Asia Pacific, he will be responsible for performance across all our branches, delivering the best of Chubb to our core distribution partners who are so critical to our success.”
