Crawford & Company Australia has appointed Keira Blair as its new National Strata Operations Manager, the business announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday.
She joins the loss adjuster following a stint of over a year as Claims Manager at Longitude Insurance. Her four years of industry experience also include a previous role as Claims Manager at Suncorp.
Crawford & Company Australia expressed confidence in Blair, saying that she brings “a unique blend of operational expertise and deep empathy, especially in managing sensitive cases involving vulnerable customers. Her academic grounding in psychology has shaped a thoughtful, people-first approach to claims management.”
The appointment comes amid a changing dynamic in Australia’s strata landscape. Tough strata laws, which took effect in New South Wales in February this year, mandate detailed disclosures of insurance quotes, including commissions and broker fees. These laws were passed after media investigations revealed systemic issues within the strata industry.
