Crawford & Company Australia has appointed Shuzaha Houghton as client development manager, according to a LinkedIn announcement on Friday.
Now based in Sydney, Houghton joins following over three years at Sedgwick in New Zealand, where she most recently worked as business development manager. Earlier in her career, she held roles with Vero Insurance New Zealand, Chubb, Premium Funding, Nautilus Marine Insurance Agency and Cunningham Lindsey Australia.
Houghton joins with more than a decade of commercial insurance experience spanning business development, underwriting, claims and loss adjusting.
“Shuzaha brings an end-to-end view of the insurance lifecycle, client advocacy and commercial outcomes … She’s known for a highly collaborative approach and a real strength in building trusted relationships and translating technical detail into clear, practical conversations,” Crawford said in its announcement.
The appointment adds to Crawford Australia’s recent personnel moves, following the promotion of Simon Chenery to national executive adjuster and the appointment of Hanne Topland as a Sydney-based marine surveyor.
