Global loss adjuster Crawford & Company has announced Zakky Cheng as Country Manager for Crawford Hong Kong, an expansion of his current role as Managing Director of Crawford Taiwan.
In a company announcement, Crawford said that Cheng will divide his time between Taiwan and Hong Kong on a two week rotation basis.
With a 21-year career that includes 14 years in loss adjusting, 10 years with Crawford, and three years as an underwriter focused on engineering risk, Cheng brings a wealth of experience to his expanded role.
Over the past three months, he has spent time in Hong Kong engaging with the local team and insurance market, giving him insight into his new role and responsibilities.
“Crawford Hong Kong is in excellent shape with some top adjusting talent. I will be ensuring we build upon that strong foundation and continue diversifying our specialty expertise,” Cheng said, adding that he is focused on ensuring Crawford is known for the best technical proficiency in the market.
His background in property and engineering loss adjusting will be instrumental in leading the 40+ team in Hong Kong, which includes expertise across various sectors including property, casualty, construction, power & energy, marine, cyber, and business interruption claims.
