Chubb has appointed Jon Longmore as country president of New Zealand, effective September 2026, the insurer announced on Thursday.
Now based in Auckland, Longmore has been with Chubb for 15 years, having joined the insurer in 2011. He has held senior leadership roles across Asia, including country president of Indonesia and, most recently, country president of Malaysia.
In his new remit, Longmore will report to Chris Colahan, acting country president for Australia and New Zealand. He will oversee Chubb’s general insurance business in New Zealand, including commercial P&C, personal lines and accident & health.
“In his 15 years with Chubb, Jon has built a deep understanding of our business through leadership roles in underwriting, distribution and digital,” Colahan said. “He has a strong track record of developing high-performing teams with a genuine commitment to client and broker service, and he is well-positioned to lead the continued growth of our New Zealand business.”
Longmore’s move follows a series of senior appointments across Chubb’s Asian operations. In Malaysia, Gurudutt Joglekar was elevated to lead the insurer’s operations, succeeding Longmore after previously serving as deputy country president.
Meanwhile, Chubb Life Thailand appointed Sahapol Polpathapee as deputy country president and chief agency officer, while Chubb Life named former Citi executive Kishore Motwani as head of operations.
