Chubb Life has appointed Sahapol Polpathapee as deputy country president and chief agency officer of Chubb Life Thailand, the insurer announced in a LinkedIn post on Friday.

Polpathapee joins from Muang Thai Life Assurance, where he served as executive vice president. Before that, he was chief agency officer at FWD Insurance.

He brings more than 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry, spanning agency distribution, organisational transformation, mergers and integrations, and business growth.

Polpathapee’s appointment comes as Chubb Life continues to expand its leadership team with several senior hires across the region this year.

Earlier this week, the insurance group appointed Gurudutt Joglekar as country president of Chubb Insurance Malaysia Berhad, elevating him from deputy country president for Malaysia. His appointment followed that of Lorna Latorre, who joined as head of travel for APAC. In July, the insurer welcomed Kishore Motwani as head of operations.

The appointments coincide with news for Chubb Insurance Singapore, which achieved Tier 1 insurer status under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) classification framework in May.
