Howden Specialty has appointed Dorygel Calimlim as its APAC Head of Aviation, the global broker has announced on LinkedIn.
Calimlim, who has 17 years of aviation experience, joins Howden after five years with Gallagher and will lead Howden’s new regional aviation hub in Singapore.
The business is aiming to strengthen its global Aviation presence, and Calimlim’s appointment was announced alongside the hiring of Juliana Cortés in Latin America and nine new hires in the UK.
“With a people first culture, I am extremely proud of what we have achieved together,” said Jason Humphreys, Global Head of Aviation, on the appointments.
“We want to offer real choice to more General Aviation clients, wherever they are across the globe,” Humphreys added.
Calimlim started her insurance aviation career at Riscons Consultant and Insurance Brokers in the Philippines before gaining industry experience at United Insurance Brokers and then JLT Specialty in Singapore.
