Everest has appointed Maureen Ung as Head of Claims for Singapore, the global (re)insurer announced in a company statement on LinkedIn.
Ung joins Everest from Zurich Insurance, where she spent 11 years, first in Australia and then Singapore.
Most recently, she served as Chief Claims Officer, a position she has held since August 2022. Prior, she held various roles in the Singapore office, including Customer & Distribution Manager and Head of APAC Customer Focus.
She began her career with Zurich in Australia as a Secondee Financial Lines Claims Advisor in 2013 and advanced through several roles, including Acting Team Leader for Liability Claims and Quality Assurance Manager, before relocating to Singapore in 2018.
In its statement, Everest said the business was delighted to welcome Ung, adding “Maureen’s expertise and knowledge in the field make her a valuable addition to the team.”
