FM has launched the Intellium programme, an initiative aimed at supporting risk management for clients operating in the data centre and power generation sectors.
The initiative combines FM’s engineering expertise with data analytics and AI to deliver tailored loss prevention and risk management services for clients.
The company said it will integrate engineering analysis with risk data across infrastructure projects, both during construction and in operational settings. A key feature of the programme is a virtual, on-demand resource team that enables rapid deployment of subject matter experts to serve market needs worldwide.
Intellium seeks to support clients throughout the lifecycle of their infrastructure projects, from construction to ongoing operations, by offering insights into complex risks such as power supply, cooling, and battery technology, FM said.
“With the continuing migration to cloud computing and expansion of AI, data centres demand complete operational confidence. FM has the expertise to ensure resilience and prevent losses for even more clients in these crucial sectors,” said Randy Hodge, chief operating officer of FM.
FM currently insures around 1,100 data centres worldwide, representing a combined insured value of US$250bn. Its engineers dedicate an estimated 30,000 hours annually to supporting operators, with a focus on issues such as site hazards, cooling systems, energy supply, and battery safety.
