Gallagher has designated Ken Wise as head of corporate and natural resources for Western Australia, the company posted on LinkedIn on Friday.
Wise joined Gallagher in December 2025 from Marsh, where he had served for eight years, including as managing principal. He has also previously worked at Gallagher as an account manager based in the United Kingdom.
He brings over 18 years of experience in managing clients’ risk and insurance portfolios, with previous stints at RMS, Young Insurance Professionals Australia & New Zealand Inc., and SunCorp. His expertise spans media, agriculture, construction and aged care, with a particular focus on the mining and natural resources sector for the past decade, according to Gallagher.
“Ken has successfully delivered tailored insurance solutions for some of the most complex and high-value projects in the industry, from A$1bn+ resource construction projects (such as lithium hydroxide plants) to annual programs for multidisciplinary mining contractors and cost-effective coverage for some of the largest mining operations in WA, including iron ore, gold and lithium mines, to ensure his clients are protected against the unique and complex risks in this industry,” Gallagher said.
