Gallagher Re has appointed Minesh Jani as chief executive officer of India, the reinsurance broker announced in a LinkedIn post on Monday.
Returning to India, Jani will join the reinsurance broker from Howden’s DIFC branch, where he has worked since 2023, most recently as managing director.
Prior to that, he was CEO of Ed MENA, India and the Indian subcontinent. He has also held reinsurance leadership roles for firms such as ARPL, Willis Insurance Brokers, ICICI Lombard, and J.B. Boda Group.
The move is the latest in a series of senior APAC appointments by Gallagher Re so far this year, including Carlos Grijalva as executive director and head of cyber for Asia-Pacific, Russell Hails as its head of MGA solutions for the region, and Jun Liu as head of China agriculture.
