Gallagher Re has announced key leadership changes within its Asia Pacific business, with Mark Morley, the current Head of APAC for the global reinsurance broker, set to be elevated to Deputy Chairman of Gallagher Re International and Chairman of Asia Pacific.
Mark O’Brien—currently serving as Head of Southeast Asia, Korea, and Taiwan—will succeed Morley as Managing Director for Asia Pacific. Both appointments will be effective from 1 September.

As a result of the changes, Gallagher Re said that Tai Hui Yen will be promoted to O’Brien’s role as Regional Director of South East Asia, Korea & Taiwan from September, while Arshwin Shanmuganathan takes on the role of Deputy Regional Director of South East Asia, Korea & Taiwan.
Morley has been Head of Asia Pacific at Gallagher Re since April 2022. Prior, he held various leadership positions at WTW, including MD of Asia Pacific and MD of ASEAN.
O’Brien has been serving as Regional Director and Head of Southeast Asia, Korea & Taiwan since December 2021. He previously worked at Willis Re, including Director roles in London and Hong Kong.
