Gany Subramaniam has returned to AIG in the new role of Head of Agency and Partnership Distribution for the Asia Pacific region.
Chris Colahan, Regional President, Asia Pacific, announced the move on LinkedIn, saying that “Gany’s deep industry expertise, pan-Asia experience and AIG knowledge will be invaluable in driving growth, and supporting our agents and partners to flourish.”
Subramaniam’s appointment marks his return to the business where he spent 16 years between 2003 to 2019. During that period, he held key roles across Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore, including as Senior Vice President for Personal Insurance in South East Asia, Director for AIG Thailand, and Head of Consumer Insurance for Malaysia and South East Asia.
Following his time at AIG, Subramaniam moved to Allianz, holding positions including Head of Commercial Sales for the Asia Pacific region, CEO for Allianz Insurance Lanka, and Regional Head of Distribution Management.
