Howden has appointed Ramprasad (Ram) KS as executive vice president – growth leader for sales, India, the company announced in a LinkedIn post earlier this week.
Ramprasad moves to the global broker from Gallagher, where he served as associate director and branch head. He has also had stints at Marsh India in two separate tenures, Risk Management Services LLC, Aon, and Bharat Re Insurance Brokers, spanning more than two decades in the industry. He specialises in insurance broking, risk management, placements, claims, and business development.
“His career has been focused on building client‑centric strategies, implementing sustainable business growth initiatives, and leading diverse teams across complex systems,” Howden said.
Ramprasad’s move follows the announcement on Wednesday of Alaric Lee’s appointment as Howden’s next chief executive officer for Hong Kong, succeeding Alfred Sham, who will move to Singapore to become chief strategy officer for Asia. Other recent appointments in Asia-Pacific were those of Cindy Yeo as director for mergers and acquisitions Asia earlier this week, Kyle Chan as senior director for M&A Asia, Andy Buddell as Asia COO, Eva Li as GM for facultative reinsurance, China, and Mani Tsang as head of claims for Hong Kong. Earlier this year, the broker announced a number of talent hires from rival Aon across Singapore, Greater China, and Japan for Howden’s expansion of its M&A insurance team in Asia.
