IFFCO Tokio General Insurance has appointed Tatsuya Fujimoto as managing director and CEO, effective 7 September 2026, the company announced on Tuesday.
He will succeed Subrata Mondal, who has served as IFFCO Tokio’s managing director and CEO since September 2024.
Fujimoto has been with the business for almost two years and currently serves as its director of operations. He previously served as senior executive director, chief risk officer, before moving into operations.
Prior to joining IFFCO Tokio, he served as deputy CEO at First Insurance Company of Hawaii. He also worked for Tokio Marine Group’s operations across Asia and the United States.
“With over two decades of global experience across Japan, the US, Malaysia and India, Mr. Fujimoto brings rich expertise in strategic planning, risk management and operational excellence,” the insurer said in its announcement.
IFFCO Tokio General Insurance is a 51:49 joint venture between Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO), one of India’s largest cooperative societies, and Japan’s Tokio Marine Group.
