IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance has appointed Sanjeev Chopra as director of operations, the insurer announced on Wednesday.
He succeeds Tatsuya Fujimoto, who recently assumed the role of managing director and CEO.
Chopra brings more than 35 years of experience in India’s general insurance industry and has been associated with IFFCO-TOKIO since 2001.
His experience spans financial strategy, underwriting, reinsurance, investments, governance and regulatory compliance.
“His deep industry knowledge and leadership experience will further strengthen our operational excellence and support IFFCO-TOKIO’s continued growth,” the company said in its announcement.
IFFCO-TOKIO is a 51:49 joint venture between IFFCO and Japan’s Tokio Marine Group.
