Indian IT firm Coforge Ltd has launched the Nexa Agentic AI Platform, aimed at insurers seeking to deploy artificial intelligence across operations without replacing core systems.
The platform combines AI tools with insurance workflows to support underwriting, claims processing, product development, customer service and system upgrades, Coforge said. It operates as a layer over existing technology and provides access to more than 30 AI tools.
Built on Coforge’s One AI platform, Nexa also includes human oversight and audit trails within decision processes.
The platform includes six core tools across the insurance value chain: a submission centre that automates intake, data extraction, and validation of broker submissions; management of rates, forms, and regulatory filings across jurisdictions; automation for product development and launch; support for insurers entering new markets; legacy system upgrades; and the automation of claims intake, routing, and fraud detection.
Giving an example of the platform’s efficiency, Coforge said its submission centre could help increase underwriting capacity by more than 30%.
“It is purpose-built for the global insurance market across property & casualty, life & annuities, and speciality, as well as MGAs and intermediaries,” said Rajeev Batra, EVP & Global Practice Head of Insurance, Coforge.
