Hannover Re has appointed James Ng as CEO of its Malaysian branch, the company announced in a statement on LinkedIn on Wednesday.
Kuala Lumpur-based Ng originally joined Hannover Re in January 2024 as General Manager and Head of Property & Casualty.
In its announcement, Hannover Re said that Ng is a “strong advocate” for technology, digitalisation, and business transformation, adding that “throughout his career, [Ng] has consistently translated strategic vision into action, all while fostering strong relationships and collaboration.”
Ng has over 20 years of experience in the (re)insurance industry, with expertise in management, underwriting, and sales and distribution. Before joining Hannover Re, Ng held leadership roles at Munich Re, QBE, Chubb and MSIG Asia.
