Julie Koo is set to join Allianz Global Investors as head of distribution for the Asia-Pacific region, effective 1 May 2026, the company announced on LinkedIn on Friday. She will also become a member of the Allianz Global Investors Executive Committee.
Koo moves from Citi Global Wealth, where she was most recently global head of partnerships and relationship management.
She brings more than 30 years of international experience in institutional and wealth management across Asia, Europe, and North America, with expertise in corporate strategy, client relationship management, team leadership, and product development.
In her new role, she reports directly to Allianz Investments CEO Tobias Pross.
“We are very excited to have Julie join Allianz Global Investors and have prior experience working with her in the wealth management field,” Pross said. “I am confident that her strategic vision, keen insight, and proactive leadership will drive Allianz Global Investors’ continued growth in the Asia-Pacific region.”
