Howden on Friday announced that it has appointed Lawrence Chong as Regional Head of Cyber & Tech Solutions, Asia.
Hong Kong-based Chong joined Qubit Underwriting, where he was Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO). He brings extensive experience, having worked with insurance firms including Swiss Re, RSA, AIG, and Chubb.
Prior to his time at Qubit Underwriting, he was CUO of OneInfinity by OneDegree, and before that, he founded his own insurtech startup, Skala FinTech.
Speaking on his new role, Chong said that he was looking forward to working with the Howden team to provide solutions that address the “challenges and opportunities of the digital era.”
In its announcement, Howden said Chong will also work closely with Edward Wong, Regional Director of Cyber & Tech Solutions, Asia, with Wong continuing to provide technical and value-added services capabilities.
